It abounds in scope, I picked this book up off the discount shelf at a bookstore many years ago when I was going through my compulsive accumulation of books. Whereas Daniel J. Taylor's book does tell the story of African slaves a bit more than Boorstin's does, but still leaves a lot to be desired in this area.
