I am half-way through this book, and so far have found it to be the best recently published geochemistry textbook. It is far superior to "Geochemistry" by William White, which my students hated.
It is also better than Essentials of Geochemistry by Walther. The examples are spot-on, and the problems are illustrative and not frustrating for students. The text covers most of what I consider important for an introductory geochemistry class, is well written concise and unambiguousand has high quality, appropriate illustrations.
