First let me explain the mild Halo bashing in my review. While I enjoy Halo, I am simply drawing attention to what I see as a common flaw. Well it looks to me like the bugs have been ironed out as everything looks and plays extremely smooth on my system. This game was everything I was hoping it would be, namely, a hardcore multi-player game with strategic depth, in the vein of Tribes. If you are familiar with Tribes you understand the void that has existed that games like halo are unable to fill. Dynamic, Sci-fi multi-player combat with teeth. Section 8 nails it. The graphics aren't going to win any awards for innovation, but I feel they are very good and more than satisfactorily promote the game.
You can literally drop in anywhere or on anyone on the map, sprint easily across a map, section 8 pc game free download, and jet up to the tops of buildings. The sprint is extremely fast and gets you out of many jams. You can also take people out with it by running into them if they are low on health. It does take a bit more damage to kill your target in Section 8 than similar games and that also really works for me. It really makes it more about skill and playing to your loadouts advantages than luck or reflex.
I hope they don't change this in the upcoming sequel. The custom suit loadouts in this game are the master-stroke, section 8 pc game free download. I won't go into great detail but you have six suit loadouts. Each loadout allows you to have two different weapons out of 7 types and two different support items out of 7 types. Also, your custom loadout has nine enhancement categories with four slots per category. Everyone has the ability to put ten points across any of these nine attributes, which means everyone is potentially equally powerful.
The more points you assign to a particular attribute 4 max the more powerful it becomes ex. This allows you to tackle the battlefield in varied and interesting ways. Tweaking your loadouts is just as fun as actually playing the game, for me.
There is one thing, however, I don't like in S8 which is that it isn't easy without a microphone to coordinate attacks. No generic attack commands or markers you can leave on the map, that I know of.
